The Time Flys are a great garage surf punk rock band with Birdman Records. They reign from Oakland, California, which as we all know is a cesspool swimming with the underground underrated talent within the West Coast music scene. The album Fly, my personal favorite, consists of upbeat, fast-paced, and memorable tracks such as Jailbait, a song about a girl "born too late" and 21st Century Ape-Man.They fall into the same realm as Eagles of Death Metal, The Adicts, and the Hives, but with a distinct sound all their own. With a new 45' titled The In Crowd available now on a website near you, I'm hoping to hear more from this group soon.
