THE MEEK

KILL THE LIGHTS by THE MEEK

Caught them last night at the Echo. They're sound is heavy and raw with emotional vigor. The electricity of the band encompasses a new kind of starlight way into the mind of a musician. They are all so n sink that the audience seemed to be of no interest to the members. Although it is apparent where there influences stem from (Brian Jonestown Massacre etc.), they were fantastic live. I would love to see them branch out of the one-dimensional profile they seem to be comfortable with, for safety should never be a way out in Rock n Roll and add a bit more variety to there set, however all in all i'd give them 3.7/5.
