GREAT BAND!!! Super nostalgic!
They are playing at the upcoming FYF Fest and I cannot stop listening to them. The current mix in my car consists of The Soft Pack, Sonic Youth, Husker Du, Yo La Tengo, and Skrewdriver (also Shout Out Louds- does anyone remember that band?)-- which should give you a good idea of there vibe. Great hooks, uncanny lyrics, all in all a superb find. Off of Kemado Records (New York based- they rep other artists like Savious, The Sword, and Langhorne Slim) and Heavenly Recordings, please do yourself a favor and buy everything. Was told they used to be known as The Muslims- although I thought that was just there first 12" album (which is a white cover shot with REAL 22 caliber bullets, haha, what?!) either way "a rose by any other name would smell as sweet." So kids, cats, croons, cooks, cops, and cannibals... listen and learn.
