D.R. turned me onto these guys a few weeks ago. They are a minimalist psychedelic group from England formed in the early 80's. The two main members (also featured on my favorite album by them and the one posted below, Perfect Prescription) are Jason Pierce and Peter Kember. They've released five studio albums (Sound of Confusion, The Perfect Prescription*, Playing with Fire, Recurring, Translucent Flashbacks- The Singles), six singles (Walkin' with Jesus*, Transparent Radiation, Take Me To The Other Side, Revolution, Hypnotized, and Big City), and ten unofficial albums (Taking Drugs to Make Music to Take Drugs To and Spacemen Are Go! seem to be the only two worth mentioning). "Call The Doctor" (listen below) is sincerely one of the most beautifully devastating tracks I've ever heard. I start my morning off with it and am never quite sure whether I want to break down and cry because their is too much pain or too much pleasure....
